Obsidian Dashboard Setup

License: MIT Platform Theme Plugins

A shareable Obsidian vault template for a custom dashboard home note, nested folder gallery, and AnuPpuccin-based styling.

Included

  • Home.md
  • System/_Folder Gallery.md
  • .obsidian/app.json
  • .obsidian/appearance.json
  • .obsidian/community-plugins.json
  • .obsidian/plugins/dataview/data.json
  • .obsidian/plugins/homepage/data.json
  • .obsidian/plugins/obsidian-style-settings/data.json

Required Installs

Install these inside Obsidian:

  1. Dataview
  2. Homepage
  3. Style Settings
  4. Theme: AnuPpuccin

This repo includes configuration files for those plugins and theme settings, but does not redistribute the third-party plugin or theme code.

Setup

  1. Create a new Obsidian vault from this folder, or copy these files into an empty vault.
  2. In Obsidian, install the required community plugins.
  3. Install and enable the AnuPpuccin theme.
  4. Make sure community plugins are enabled.
  5. Open Home.md in Reading view.
  6. In the Homepage plugin, set Home.md as the startup note if Obsidian does not pick it up automatically.

Notes

  • The dashboard uses dataviewjs, so DataviewJS must be enabled.
  • The Bases tab lists real .base files from the vault.
  • The folder gallery is driven by System/_Folder Gallery.md.

Recommended

  • Turn on Settings -> Editor -> Properties in document -> Hidden
  • Turn off Settings -> Appearance -> Show inline title
