Overview

This repository contains the configuration files and resources I use in my personal Obsidian vault. Whether you're new to Obsidian or a seasoned user, this repository is designed to help you customize your setup.

How to Use This Repository

Setting Up

Clone or Download this repository:

git clone https://github.com/csanicola/obsidian-backup.git

Locate Your Obsidian Vault Folder:
- Open Obsidian.
- Navigate to Settings → About → Vault Path.
Place the contents of this repository into the appropriate folders in your Obsidian vault.

Using the Files

Plugins: Copy the JSON files from the plugins folder into your vault's .obsidian/plugins folder.
Snippets: Move the CSS snippets into .obsidian/snippets. Enable them via Settings → Appearance → CSS Snippets.
Themes: Add themes to .obsidian/themes. Select a theme via Settings → Appearance.

What Are Snippets?

Snippets are small pieces of custom CSS to adjust specific parts of your Obsidian layout.

Snippets in This Repo

Example Snippet: custom-tables.css – Improves table styles for better readability.
Enable snippets under Settings → Appearance → CSS Snippets.

Themes

Current Themes

Primary Theme: Border Theme – A clean and highly customisable theme for obsidian.
