symbiotic-llm-wiki
Symbiotic, LLM-agnostic LLM Wiki in Obsidian. Architecture, protocols, and starter vault for research in Category Theory, Functional Programming, Agentic AI, Computer Languages, and Mendix. Based on Karpathy's pattern with emphasis on co-evolution.
Symbiotic LLM Wiki
A symbiotic, LLM-agnostic implementation of Karpathy's LLM Wiki pattern in Obsidian.
Focused on deep research in:
- Category Theory
- Functional Programming & Computer Languages
- Agentic AI & Memory Systems
- Mendix (low-code + agentic development)
- AI Research
Core Philosophy
This is not about full automation or strict human control.
It is about symbiosis:
- You provide direction, taste, semantic grounding, and judgment.
- The system provides breadth, cross-connection, recall, formalization attempts, and structural insight.
- Both get better over time through co-evolution.
- The wiki is the shared external mind — persistent, inspectable, and versioned.
Quick Start
- Clone this repo
- Open the folder in Obsidian
- Read
WIKI-PROTOCOL.md(the contract/schema) - Start adding sources to
raw/ - Use your agent (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) with the protocol
Key Documents
- llm-wiki.md — Karpathy's original pattern (forked)
- ARCHITECTURE.md — Full layered architecture
- RIGOR-SPECTRUM.md — Multi-level formalization approach (including Lean/Agda)
- WIKI-PROTOCOL.md — The living schema / instructions for agents
- Category Theory tutorials (highly recommended for assimilation):
- [[Category-Theory-Tutorial]] — Comprehensive hands-on tutorial with exercises, analogies, and project-specific examples
- [[Adjunction]] (main tutorial)
- [[Functor]]
- [[NaturalTransformation]]
- DIRECTORY-STRUCTURE.md — Recommended layout
Repository Goals
- Capture and evolve all architectural decisions interactively on GitHub
- Serve as both documentation and a ready-to-use Obsidian vault
- Remain portable across different LLMs and agents (plain files + open specs)
- Enable deep structural thinking using Obsidian's graph + Canvas
Status
This repository is being actively designed through conversation. It is the living record of the architecture for a true symbiotic knowledge system.
Contributing / Discussion
Use GitHub Issues and Discussions to evolve the protocol, page types, and rigor approach.
Inspired by Andrej Karpathy's LLM Wiki gist (April 2026). Extended for symbiosis, domain-specific rigor, and LLM portability.
How to Install
- Download the ZIP or clone the repository
